Morzine is not just a ski resort. It is a beautiful place to stay if you wish to make the most of what the mountains can offer in summer. The market town was here long before skiing became popluar, and it has a rich and vibrant Savoyard culture that can be sampled in the restaurants and bars, and in the architecture of the old buildings.

Food and drink are an essential part of any holiday, but even better after a day spent lounging at the Olympic size outdoor pool, or walking along the rocky mountain paths.

Mountain Biking - 27 lifts, 12 permanent descent pistes, bike parks, and miles of trails taking in Morzine, Les Gets , Chatel, Morgins, Champery and Les Crosets. The Portes du Soleil is a top ranking destinantions for European mountain bikers.

Road Biking - Le Tour de France and La Dauphine Libere often come to Morzine as part of their challenging tests of stamina and endurance at the highest level. The Col de Joux Plane has many enemies in the professional ranks as one the hardest final climbs of the Tour.
